A retake is a new registration and a new fee. Treat it like a second project, not a redo of the same cram night.

How to schedule a retake

Go to https://test-takers.psiexams.com/cadi, create or sign into your PSI account, pick the same examination type, choose a test center, and pay again. Exam fee is $55. PSI's convenience fee is $43 at most centers. The CDI Los Angeles test center does not charge the convenience fee.

Cancel or reschedule at least two business days before the appointment to keep the fee. A voicemail is not a valid cancel. Use the website or call PSI at (833) 518-7456.

The 10-fail limit

Insurance Code section 1682 bars you from that examination type for 12 months after 10 fails. Combination Life and Accident/Health sittings count with Life sittings toward the Life-agent limit. Read PSI's bulletin section on retake limits before you stack attempts.

Use the fail diagnostic

Your emailed score report shows how many questions you got right. Pair that with the Life or Accident and Health License Examination Objectives and rebuild only the weak sections first.

If senior products crushed you, do not restart with whole life definitions. If contract law was fine and annuities were not, flip that order.
